Potluck for Teachers During February Conferences

Food will be provided all week starting Monday, 2/13 after school. Please have your items to school by 2pm each day or you can drop off at 8827 Ewing Ave.

Join the King Arts PTA at the MLK Dream Drive!

The King Arts PTA is hosting the 3rd annual MLK Dream Drive! Details here!

Saturday, February 4
10 AM – 1PM

The MLK Dream Drive is a guided audio tour and car parade through Evanston exploring the history and relevance of various locations to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. The audio tour is narrated by King Arts students and faculty.

This year, the event also includes an open house at King Arts with food, student fine arts performances, basketball games, a food collection for the community fridges, and car decorating!

Dream Drive is free and open to the publicRegister in advance to receive the audio podcast download and the corresponding map by email the day before the Dream Drive.

Voluntary donations to Dream Drive will support the King Arts PTA and the PTA Equity Project. Business sponsorships are also welcome!

Second Annual PTA Equity Project’s Native Plant Sale

The second annual PTA Equity Project’s Native Plant Sale is live! Choose from a wide selection of native plants, shrubs and trees and place your order now through Wednesday, February 22

Proceeds from this sale help support every District 65 school via the One Fund Initiative.

Orders will be available for pick-up on Saturday, May 13 from 10am to 1pm at the District 65 warehouse (2017 Greenleaf St., Evanston). Some native plants, shrubs and trees will be available for purchase. 

Learn more! How can our gardens make a difference for community health and wildlife? Why are native plants so beneficial? How to get started? Register for this Natural Habitat Evanston Zoom presentation on Thursday, February 2 from 7 to 8pm. There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
