Membership

Membership in the PTA has a number of benefits:

You have a voice in our Walker community!

  • Voting Rights on decisions regarding activities & budget allocations
  • you are eligible to hold executive committee positions
  • you are eligible to hold committee head positions

Requirements:

The only requirement to be a member is to pay your membership dues ($10 per person annually). After that, it’s up to you how you use your membership.

We highly encourage attending monthly PTA meetings when you are able – voting on items can only be done in person (there is no proxy or absentee voting permitted). We also understand that our parents sometimes have other commitments, and have made available our upcoming meeting agendas and post-meeting minutes each month so membership can continue to be “in the know”.  You can check out our meeting schedule here.

We value your participation by joining a committee, engaging in conversations and contributing ideas that will help our drive and plan our activities, and through volunteering at events as you are able.
